POPIA direct marketing consent

Collecting consent from data subjects for the purpose of direct marketing requires the use of a form for this purpose published in the Regulations. The POPIA platform facilitates this collection of consent with a process that responsible parties use to direct data subjects to customisable online forms that will capture the consent given by the data subjects.

Organisations that do not have evidence of the consent received, or who might need to refresh consent received more than two years ago, should use the available time to collect or refresh data subjects' consent to direct marketing.
